Obit Books just posted the new cover for
Tracking the Tempest (Spring/Summer 2010), the second book in Nicole Peeler's new urban fantasy Jane True series. This cover was created by illustrator
Sharon Tancredi, the same artist for the
Tempest Rising, the first book in the Jane True series.
Tempest Rising will be released on October 27, 2009.

Tease description from Orbit Books:
After discovering the truth about her background and the
supernatural community, Jane True has been busy honing her supernatural
powers and enjoying a newfound sense of confidence. Rockabill may not
yet be heaven, but she’s started to realize it’s home. Meanwhile,
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and Ryu—Jane’s bloodsucker
boyfriend—can’t let a major holiday go by without getting all
gratuitous. This time his shenanigans involve a last-minute ticket to
Boston and a hefty dose of direct interference in her life.
Jane soon discovers, however, that Ryu’s intentions involve more
than just mind-numbingly good sex. He wants Jane’s help in uncovering
the motivation behind a spree of gruesome killings committed by a being
of tremendous power.
A being who also happens to be a Halfling—just like Jane.

Darn. Tempest Rising has one of my favorite covers ever. I don't like this one half as much :(
The cover is definitely different...did you read Tempest Rising?
I like this cover! It's really cute. It reminds me of graffiti art!
Kay - I like them both but if I had to pick one over the other, I'm not sure which I'd pick to be honest. :)
Mandi - Yeah, these covers are different. Wonder if after reading the book if the cover will mean more. No, I haven't read Tempest Rising, I'll probably be picking up after it releases in a couple of weeks.
Rachael - They are cute. They definitely don't fit the current trend in the Urban Fantasy book cover market.
This cover kind of reminds me of a dark Rainbow Bright. I like it though :)
Hi Donna!
Love the cover, I have Tempest Rising, how can I not make it a pair?
Dottie :)
Hey Dottie - Lucky you! :) Hope to see a review soon on Tempest Rising. This is on my tbb list when it releases.
